COVID-19 UPDATE: PENLAW GROUP STATUS

Since the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak took hold and forced us to undertake a nationwide closure of our depots, Penlaw have been working quietly behind the scenes to prepare for the reopening of our depots with the necessary Health and Safety measures for both our customers and staff. We have also been able to continue in a limited capacity to service key projects, critical to the needs of the National Health Service (NHS) and to help in the national effort to fighting this disease.

Based on the latest advice from the Government and the Construction Leadership Council, we have taken the decision to reopen 6 out of the 7 Penlaw branches, albeit with reduced staffing levels.

These depots are now open for business but at a limited capacity;
- Enfield
- Sydenham
- Wickford
- Warrington
- Eye- some collections business is possible, contact branch for details.
- Greenwich (Penlaw Fixings)

We will continue to review our trading capabilities. whilst prioritising critical projects and the well-being of our customers, colleagues and suppliers.

As service in Penlaw branches resumes, we will need to work together to ensure safe operations. We would encourage that you to have all materials delivered where possible from your nearest open branch and to place orders either over the phone or by email, rather than visiting the depot.

To ensure that we continue to deliver goods as safely as possible during this time, we have given guidance for delivering to customer sites to all our drivers, who can also make the decision on whether they believe a delivery can be made safely when they arrive on site. A signature will not be required for acceptance of deliveries, but we will still require a customer name, company name, time and date and confirmation that the offloaded materials have been checked. Delivery notes will be placed on materials to allow a 2m distance to be maintained.

At this moment in time, regrettably only our Eye Depot are able to accommodate customer collections, please contact them directly before you arrive. At the moment, the other Penlaw depots are not able to facilitate collections, but we expect to offer this service sooner rather than later. Please keep in touch with your local Penlaw depot to get updates on this.

If you are experiencing one or more of the known symptoms of Coronavirus - a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath - please follow government guidelines on self-isolation and avoid face to face contacts. We take pleasure in working together again and look forward to the time when we can all get back to normal and resume our normal trading relationships. I thank all our customers, suppliers and stakeholders for their cooperation during these unprecedented times and urge you all to stay safe.need to operate to.
